    Fugro has successfully installed an artificial reef off the coast of Dampier, Western Australia, on behalf of Woodside Energy and Recfishwest, creating a new habitat to support local fish species and enhance recreational fishing opportunities for the community.

    The project involved the deployment of 48 concrete reef modules which were installed on the seabed from Fugro’s multipurpose vessel, the Fugro Etive. The reef structure spans approximately 16,000 m² and is designed to promote marine biodiversity. Over time, the concrete modules will attract marine growth and a variety of fish species, creating a thriving and sustainable marine ecosystem.

    This initiative is a result of a collaboration between Woodside and Recfishwest with the support of the WA Government, City of Karratha, Traditional Owners and local fishing clubs. It reflects a shared commitment to environmental and local community engagement.

    Barry Walsh, Service Line Director I&M, Pacific, Fugro, said:” We’re proud to support this project, using our marine expertise to install reef modules that will help boost biodiversity and benefit the local Dampier community for years to come. Our collaboration with Woodside and Recfishwest demonstrates what can be achieved when industry and the recreational fishing community work together for positive impact."

    We zitten wel 2 weken voor de cijfers. In mijn ervaring beginnen shorters dan niet zelden met coveren. Maar vaak zijn ze er wel wat handiger in dan dat ze zo'n acute koersstijging veroorzaken.

    Er moet iets zijn wat wij nog niet weten. Zo’n stijging bij opening en met een dergelijke omzet zie je normaal gesproken bij fantastisch goede kwartaalcijfers of een overnamebericht. De shorters zijn meestal wel slimmer in het coveren, zoals Jaramis hierboven zegt.
    Het is een zeer aangenaam begin van de dag en ik ben met jullie benieuwd wat het goede nieuws (want dat moet er toch wel zijn?) inhoudt.

    Ben benieuwd of er een oorzaak voor is. Grote jongens gaan niet zomaar de koers flink laten stijgen. Sector nieuws over wind of olie/gas heb ik niet gevonden. En het persbericht van Fugro, is het denk ik ook niet. Het persbericht is wel voorbeurs, maar lees er niet iets heel spannends uit voor de koers.
