    lastig om de kansen in te schatten van dit Siemens Energy, voor mijn gevoel is er moordende concurrentie bij windmolens/windparken. is dit een groeiaandeel-in-spe of gaan ze interessant dividend geven? Ook al komt het op eigen benen te staan, ik vind het nog steeds een moeilijk in te schatten en diffuus bedrijf (maar misschien is mijn denkraam te klein?).

    Dat is precies de bedoeling van dit topic. Om daarover met elkaar van gedachten te wisselen door het delen van informatie en inzichten. Niemand heeft een pasklaar antwoord en er zullen altijd onzekerheden bestaan. Onderstaande zie ik als mijn vertrekpunt.

    Siemens Energy is al operationeel. Feitelijk verkoopt Siemens AG haar Power & Gas activiteiten aan Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE). Dit kan de focus van SGRE op duurzaamheid vertroebelen. Aan de andere kant kan juist een ''power house' ontstaan dat een breed scala aan grote bedrijven door de energietransitie kan loodsen. Niet elke klant kan even snel omschakelen.

    Siemens said shareholders will automatically receive one share of Siemens Energy AG for every two shares of Siemens AG and 55% of Siemens Energy will be spun off to Siemens shareholders. Depending on the strategic and operational development of the two companies, Siemens AG said it intends to further reduce its stake in Siemens Energy significantly within 12 to 18 months.

    In addition, Siemens has placed itself under a contractual obligation to refrain from exercising a controlling influence over the new company in the future. Subject to approval by the Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting on July 9. The initial listing is to take place on September 28th, 2020.

    Vervolgens bouwt Siemens AG haar belang in Siemens Energy af tot een minderheidsbelang. Een heel verhaal, maar feitelijk verkoopt Siemens AG haar Gas & Power activiteiten aan SGRE. In die zin zie ik het dus niet als een echte IPO. Maar meer als een herstructurering.

    Producten en business

    Een greep uit de producten van Siemens Energy: gasturbines, stoomturbines, solar, windmolens, waterkrachtcentrales, energie uit zeegolven, waterstof, complete energiecentrales etc. Je kunt het zo gek niet bedenken of het zit er wel in. Sommige onderwerpen staan wat dubbel op hun site, maar als je onder deze link wat klikt krijg je al snel een indruk:

    Even een zijstapje. ThyssenKrupp heeft recent samen met het Amerikaanse Air Products & Chemicals een miljardendeal afgesloten in Saoedi-Arabië, waar zij gaan werken met groene waterstof en groene ammoniak. Dat is maar een voorbeeld van een markt waar ik in Siemens Energy een geduchte concurrent zie van bijvoorbeeld ThyssenKrupp.

    Twee van de drie analisten uit het Duitse artikel werken voor banken die meewerken aan de transactie. Op papier zullen die activiteiten gescheiden moeten zijn, maar toch.

    Op 9 maart werd gesproken over een marktwaarde van EUR 10 miljard, maar sindsdien is er e.e.a. veranderd in de wereld.

    Een oordeel vormen is een (continue) proces en ik probeer informatie ook wat gedoceerd te delen, anders is het voor een ander niet meer te volgen. Dus hier weer een stukje.

    Eerst zaten zij samen in Siemens Gamesa, maar Siemens AG heeft Iberdrola uitgekocht. In het algemeen zie ik dat als positief. Je wilt geen interne machtsstrijd zoals bijvoorbeeld bij AF-KLM.

    Siemens Energy to supply HVDC Technology for BorWin5 offshore Wind Farm

    Siemens Energy is supplying the high voltage direct current power transmission technology for a further offshore connection in the German North Sea. A corresponding contract was just signed by the German-Dutch network operator TenneT and the BorWin5 Offshore Consortium, consisting of Siemens Energy and Dragados Offshore. In 2025, the platform BorWin epsilon, which is part of the BorWin5 project, will begin the low-loss transmission of electricity produced by the EnBW He Dreiht wind farm off the island of Borkum to the Garrel/Ost converter station around 230 kilometers distant. The transmission capacity of 900 megawatts is calculated to serve over 1.1 million households with electricity. The project is a further contribution toward decarbonizing Germany’s energy supply. BorWin5 marks the seventh HVDC offshore grid connection project undertaken by Siemens Energy in Germany with TenneT.

    The scope of supply for Siemens Energy and its Spanish partner Dragados Offshore SA includes the turnkey construction and installation of the offshore platform in the North Sea and the converter station on land. The offshore converter station will convert the three-phase alternating current produced by the wind turbines into direct current with a voltage of 320 kilovoltsfor low-loss transmission to land. The shoreside converter station in Garrel/Ost will then convert the electricity back into three-phase alternating current for feeding into Germany’s power grid. Siemens Energy will supply the HVDC technology required for the project and build the shoreside station, while Dragados will be responsible for the design, procurement, construction and installation of the offshore converter platform.
